see this link, from the women prison.
wait wait, it seems that raed has been working on it, read raed's article, and see ALL the links.
Fellow americans, be proud of your soldiers, be proud of the libration army, lets celebrate thr good and nobil intentions.
i heared from people, who met people were in Abu ghreib prison, which includes women prison too, and they were telling horrible things, they were telling unbelievable stories, about torturing, about things that i am ashamed to talk about, considering that there are women and children may be reading this, and they were beging resistance to bomb the prison and kill everyone in it including prisoneres to prevent the american army from doing what they are doing in it.
check this link, and have a good day.

HI:
I wana say few things.
first: although some comments are really great, and makes me feel happy I made this section, there are others that, with all respect, mean and filled with hatery, and even worse: ignorance.
I respect all people, I am a religious Muslim, and i have a lot of Christian and Jewish friends, and few unbelievers, and I have a lot of American friends, and some American female friends too, few of my friends are American and Jewish at the same time (two disasters,LOL) but yet, they respect and love me as much as I respect and love them.
I am suni, but my mother is she'ee and my father is a communist, and raed doesn't believe in god, and majid wears black T-shirts and letsen to heavy metal.

my point is: I learned to respect and accept others.
I try not to have a pre-made judgment about anything, anyone.
I treat the taxi driver, with same respect that I show to the richest people I know, most of the time, I treat poor people better.
of course I treat religious Muslims in a special way, I would lie if I said that I don't.
the only people that I cant deal with, I cant love, are stupid people. I hate stupid people, they may be the only people I hate, not the less educated, the stupid, who refuses to learn.
it upsets me terribly when I see some of the comments, I think "oh my god, not another on of those", do you know what is the indicator to know them? I'll tell you: those are the ones who tell things, that are lies lies lies lies, stupid lies, that they,,,,,believe!
and the other indicator is: those people "think" that they are extra smart, extra polite, and always extra right.
it pisses me off.
I wana talk a bit about the Iraqi society, this will lead to something, follow me please:
in Iraq, specially after the gulf war and after the US government put sanctions on Iraq, everything started to crash down, everything, you name anything, economy, infra structure, health, everything, you just name anything and it would be right.
but one of the most important things is: education.
after the sanctions were put, the value of Iraqi Dennar slopped down dramatically, there was a time that 1 Iraqi Dennar was equal to 3.3$, yes, three point three US dollars, and during the sanctions, 1 US $ was equal to 3000 ID, can you imagine the difference?
the economy was completely destroyed, and the government wasn't paying enough salaries to the employees, I mean, school teachers were paid 3000 ID amonth, that is 1-1.5 $, A MMONITE.
so, those who were really good, and had the chance, left the country, and those who couldn't, starved, and started looking for other careers, using their cars as taxis, selling whatever, I know one of the teachers who was the assistant of the headmaster, and the second man in the school, who left his position and started working in a gas station, filling cars with gas and taking tips, he would probably make 5-10 thousands A DAY.
so, you can imagine what was the level of education offered by those who kept teaching because, mostly, they had nothing else to do.
ok, one sector of teachers are English language teachers, as in Iraq, pupils start to study English in the fourth grade, and continue till they graduate from hi school, but yet, and after 9 years of studying English, you'd hardly find someone who can make put one sentence together, except "I love you".
teaching sucks, teachers' information have not been refreshed since the beginning of the war, there are no charts at all, schools' buildings sucks, in most of the governorates and a lot of neighbor inside Baghdad, they didn't have enough desks for all students, or they had no desks at all, so people would send milk metal tans with their children, to put it on the floor and use it as chairs, and most of classes doesn't have even a fan, while temperature gets up to 50c, where 37c=100f.
sanctions caused the death of 1 million child, and the total destraction of 22 millions, in every aspect in their life.
the only person who wasn't touched by sanctions was Saddam, not a bit.
and they let t go for 14 years, 14 damn years of poverty and lack of medicine and basic life needs.
but yet, they let it happen, the USA, and the whole world, left Iraqi people suffer and die slowly for 14 long years, like they just forgot them, do you remember that movie when a prisoner sewed the pastel prison? He was sent to prison for stealing 5$ and was just forgotten there for years, I don't remember how many years now, because they just forgot him there!
the USA knew that Saddam want getting any hurt because of the sanctions, nor his family, and it never stopped him from doing whatever he was doing, and it cut Iraq of the world, allowing Saddam to build a world of his own, a world where he can kill and steal, a whole world that is separated of the real world, separated in all means, the sanctions were one of the greatest bullets that killed democracy in Iraq.
now, I wana talk a bit about the Iraqi bloggers: how come that Iraqi people, who live here and see what's really happens, who saw what the war did to Iraq, and what the US army is still doing, how come that some bloggers, welvome the occupation? I mean, USA government officially agrees that this is occupation, and those "Iraqi" bloggers, call it liberation?!! Does that make sense?
lets a bit about that: who are people who can speak English very well in Iraq, under all the conditions that I described?
there are few options really, the very minority, that had the chance to live outside Iraq, in the states or in Europe, and that is really rare, I hardly know any of those.
the other people who speak English very well, are young westernized people...Lets talk about them a little: young people who respect the west very much, specially USA, who litsen to western music, watch western movies, try to look like them, try to talk like them, you can usually recognize them as soon as you see them, the hair cut, the kind of shirts they wear, don't get me wrong, they look nice, I have nothing against that, just describing the picture for you
usually those people are rich, and more interested in western entertainment stuff, computer games and things like that, and some of them, basing on their good English, and financial situation, do use computers, the thing that led after, to using internet.
now, are they bad people?I am not saying that at all, but do they represent the Iraqi society?????? Not at all, they are a really realy small minority.
what I am trying to say, is that those who speak English and use internet, who know what is a blog, and how to run one, are a specific sector of the Iraqi society, a small minority, that doesn't represent this society.
there are other people of course who speak English well, like doctors, old ones specially, old engineers, "some" of the English teachers, some merchants who travel around the world, but those however, are rarely internet users, their life is too busy, and most of them lost the chance of learning how to use computers when they were younger, and those are for sure, not the one who are blogging.
Iraqi society is conservative, more likely to be called religious, and you wouldn't find these two properties in most of the bloggers.
all my respect to everyone, I just wanted to make a point here:)
thank you for letsinning.

this is my lovely grand ma,study her email:

Dear friends, (and I don't leave out Majid ) ~ you are a wonderfully talented family! And your blogs really do more to solidify friendship throughout the world than you probably imagine!
I write because I am very disturbed by all the MORONS who post idiotic comments on Khalid's blog. These are probably teenaged PUNKS just having their twisted "fun" ... but it is a bad thing to allow them to get away with their insults and disgustingly ignorant remarks. It only encourages more of the same.

I am writing to you, Raed, and you, Faiza, instead of only to Khalid, because I trust you can influence him with your excellent judgement.

I want to ask Khalid to PLEASE consider deleting those 'comments' - or just omit having any comments, at all. We are interested in what YOU have to say, and these morons cheapen your blog. I don't believe that removing distasteful comments would be 'censoring'. They are not worth the space they take up, and are unworthy of your attention. Seeing their silly, pitifully empty-headed insults in print evidently gives them a thrill. Unfortunately, we do have quite of few of those low IQ bubblebrains here in America. But they only deserve to be ignored. (don't allow them any 'credibility')

I feel very strongly that we have to try to develop serious, Intelligent communication between our people and all the people of the world.
The internet is a marvelous tool for fostering the never-before possibility of understanding and familiarity - we can become real friends with one another!! When I was young, I could only dream of knowing what the people 'on the other side' of the earth were really like. I could only imagine, and read and read and read... but never, ever, really know! Now we can actually share our daily events, our joys and sorrows, hopes and dreams. Let's make the most of it, and pass by the frivolous, insipid, stupid stuff....

Please, my dear friends, stay away from the dangers, don't let yourselves be caught up in the hatred and the fighting..... and stay safe, don't take any chances!!! God willing, this, too, shall come to an end. Sooner would be better than later, but here, in America, there are many many many people working to make our politicians hear us. We want the Bush administration to be impeached. We want our government and our military to start showing FAIRNESS, HUMANITY and JUSTICE to Iraq, we hope that we can prevail in getting them to hand over their occupation to the U.N., and to allow someone from the region, whom the Iraqi's can trust, to handle the formation of your government and your elections. Most of us do not agree with any of what they have done, but the money in politics here are so powerful that we people don't really have anything to say about what our government does anymore.

My understanding is that Iraq does need a lot of help in establishing your new government to prevent it from coming under the rule of what could amount to just another saddam... (?) and to ensure that all differing factions have a fair say. The Bush administration are talking about democracy but acting like tyrants, and most of us disagree and resent it deeply. America has always been the proud defenders of injustices. (Although, Lord knows there are too many here who have been brainwashed by the poppycock propaganda of: we are in Iraq "fighting for our freedom")

Many years ago, when I was in high school, I had a wonderfully intelligent science teacher. He insisted that we could "power the world with the energy we need, if we would harness the ocean currents." He also predicted that although it IS possible, it wasn't likely to happen ~ because, like the sun, it would be too hard to monoplize it. My prayer for our planet is that we PEOPLE can begin to work together, to strive for the Improvement of all our lives and the peaceful, compassionate solutions to our collective problems. It will be your generation, Khalid, Raed, and Majid, who may be able to bring that about. But hatred has to be put aside. Every religion has to be tolerated. All men must be respected. The concept seems so simple. But as my science teacher pointed out, usually it's the "profitable" solutions which prevail. I hope your generation can find a way to make Peace prevail in this sad, sad world.

with love and prayers for safety for you and all of yours,
mary-ann

Hey:
i am still alive, but the damn/bloody phone is not working, again.
i received this mail, i believe its interesting:

Dear Khalid, I couldn't find your comment section, so
I'm writing. First off I appreciate that you take the
time to write to the world, and it helps, believe me.

The only thing I can say about Israel, is maybe
something you didn't know: the USA has been paying
over $10B to Israel per year since the intifada
started in 2000. This is something like 10% of their
economy, and 20% of their government budget.

That means that the Israeli people are rewarded in
some way for the intifada. Not the dead ones of
course.

The USA is giving Israeli voters an incentive to avoid
serious negotiation. The Israeli economy is not harmed
too much by the loss of business, because money from
the USA is payed out to the Israelis. The Israeli
government then takes on all the power that private
business used to have.

I am an American, so I don't really care to tell the
Palestinians or the Israelis what to do with their
countries. But the aid that the USA is giving Israel
is actually making things worse for them. And it's
making the USA a target, which has to end.

I hope you will have a chance to read some of it. I have also posted at my site the complete scripts of three full-length (English language) anti-war dramas set in Iraq in 2004:

Thank you for your consideration.

Hi again: i got this mail as an answer to my question:

If I were in charge of Palestine, I would adopt the non-violent methods of
Martin Luther King Jr and Ghandi. I would make sure every trespass of Israel
were well documented, video'd and put out to the world. I would use that evil
wall of Isreal as a canvas to mount pictures of the orphaned, the widowed and
the dead. I would send people in under cover of darkness to paint bloody true
life murals of the violence Israel has visited on Palestine. I would seek every
and all legal mind to file suits in every
court available, employing if possible the same lawyers that have won
successfull suits against Germany for Jews who lost goods in WWII, just to enjoy
the irony.
Every death would be met by a parade of children dress in white with their faces
painted as skulls. Let them try to slaughter them, the cameras are rolling. All
this must be done without one finger being raised against Israel, so that the
shame will eventually become unbearable, uncontestable and unsustainable. So
long as Israeli's suffer so much as a pin prick, they will use it to justify
their bloody oppression...but let there be no actions on the Palestine's part
and their role as the innocent wronged
party will speak loudly to the world.
Right now, the suicide bombings keep potential allies from being able to side
with them unreservedly. And they need the unreserved absolute support from those
that can give it.

If I were in charge if Israel, I would have those settlements disbanded so fast
it would make people's heads spin. I would set up a commission to evaluate the
losses of the Palestinians so that some sort of compensation could be made. I
realize many would want things that could not be done, but I would work to find
some sort of equitable solution for the loss of lands. I would try to find a way
to repair the damage done.
Am I silly and naive to think that if a Palestinian were not allowed to reclaim
their family home, that they might be appeased by being payed the value of what
they lost and perhaps reclaim some piece of that former home, be it a tree or
plant that they could take to their new home and start to set in roots in the
Palestinian state with some piece of history from their past.
If I were in charge (as I've dreamed since I was a very small child watching
footage of Vietnam, completely unaware that my own country was in charge of that
violence) things would be different. And I hope better.

Hi:
Finally, the phone is fixed.
I missed ya!
Did you notice the new improvements? The links and all? Well, thanks to Raed, he does the HTML work for the family :)
Today, I went to salat iljom'a, don’t panic, this only means the Friday prayer, which is, for those who don’t know it, a weekly prayer in the mosque, that men and sometimes women attend every Friday noon, it consists of a speech that the Imam makes, then a prayer.
Few weeks ago, after the prayer was over, I took as soon as I left the mosque, and went to a supermarket to buy few things, I entered market and left the cab waiting for me outside, I found that I want lots of stuff that coasts more money than I have, so I just went out, and asked the driver to lend me some (it works in Iraq), I took 10 000 Iraqi Dinars = 8$, which is a lot of money for him, maybe equals what he makes in a whole day of working.
I bought the stuffs I wanted, and went back home with him, I went in to bring him money, normally, after a journey like the one I did, you would pay the driver about 1500 or 2000 Iraqi Dinars, but I was grateful to him, so I gave him 10,000+5000 ID.
He took the money without counting it (it's an Iraqi habit), said thank you and left.
Two or three weeks later, I met him again in the same place, outside the mosque, and I automatically got in the car with him, and he took me home, without any need to show him directions, isn't that nice? Well, wait for the best, as I was about to get of the car, he stopped me, and he sounded serious, he said: "remember last time when we went together to the market?"
I said: well, yes.
He said: "well, I counted the money"
I said: so?
He said: "why did you give me that much of money? It's too much, that’s more than what you were supposed to give me" he seemed almost angry.
I said (defending myself!): "well, you did me a favor, and I was grateful, I wanted to express how thankful I was."
That didn’t make him any happier!
He said: "look, I will take the money but under one condition, and I won't take no for an answer, starting today, I will get you home every Friday after prayer for free, case closed."
Nothing I said made him change his mind, and he kept his promise ever since.
Do you know that this kind of stories isn't really strange in Iraq? These things happen in Iraq, you see it in daily life.
If you enter a market for the first time, and while you are paying you find that you don’t have enough money, its very common that owner will tell to bring the rest of money whenever you come to the neighborhood next time, and he wouldn’t forget to add "and if you didn’t bring it, you are forgiven!" another very common Iraqi habit.
Iraqi people are nice, warm and very friendly, and they become really over friendly in the small cities, and in the tribes, where they must kill one of their sheep for you if you are a guest, and while you eat, one of them must stay with you just helping you cut the meet, while he doesn’t eat.
That’s how Iraqi people really are, kind, generous, even the poor ones.
If it happened that you had a car accident, where it is your fault, and you offered to give him money, he would say "aren’t you ashamed of yourself? This was fate, its not your fault. How would I take money from you?"
If you moved to a new place, the traditions are that neighbors, who you didn’t meet yet, must make you food for three days, so you can settle yourself and not worry about cocking.
Yes, that’s another Iraqi habit.
In the summer, the hot Iraqi summer, people put cold water in big jars in front of their houses, with a glass, so you can drink if you passed in front of their houses, without taking permission of course.
Ya, another Iraqi habit.
I can go no in this for ever, but I'd rather stop here, I believe I made my point.
Know what?
People in Falluja, the small beloved city, are that kind of people, a typical Fallujian man, is a man that you want to be with in the hard times, a man who would sacrifice anything to help you, very simple people, and religious mostly, very simple, really simple.
Those people are the ones that are being killed, their houses are being destroyed, their women and children are being killed, those particular people.
For them, defending your land, your family, is not only a duty; it’s a great honor too.
A soft drink factory in Falluja, have been changed to be a big present and torturing centre, to torture those same people, the people of Falluja, the sad city.
And what the coalition is killing to, is their beautiful picture, they are trying to convince the words that those are the "bad guys", "the baathists" and the "enemy".
For Falluja, to die while fighting, defending your country, your family, is a great honor that nothing is even close to it.
They will fight until the very last man, until the very last bullet.
Are American soldiers bad people?
Not at all!
They all inside the uniforms, are humans, normal humans, who love, and have people who care about them, they have families, mothers, sometimes wives or girl friends, most of them probably play basketball, watch movies, and they have their personal life, their dreams, and their ambitious.
I believe that lots of them, if not most of them, want to be out of here as much as we want them to.
But after all, if they refuse to come, they would be put in jail, they will probably face some charges that have big terrifying names, "supporting terrorism" or something, and lots of their rights would be taken away of them and their families too.
I think of the American families that sent one of their children to Iraq, where they probably had to check the map to know where it is, where killing their children, is considered to be an honor.
I don’t want to be in their place.
And they hear the news every day, 6 American soldiers have been killed in Iraq today, and pray that their son is not one of them, that’s horrible.
An American friend told me few days ago, in Iraq during SH time, you couldn’t make a revolution, you didn’t have the choice to do what you want to, and that’s why we came, to give you that right.
Do YOU American people have the right to do what you want? Does your government do what you want? Is it your choice to kill people in Falluja, and in Iraq? Is that what you chose? If NOT, what are you going to do about it?
If YES, I am afraid that this is the answer that gives Bin Ladin the right to do what he did, and no one would blame him for that.
I am asking you in the name of God, for the sake of humanity, our and your children are dying, are suffering, our and your wives are being widows, mothers are losing their sons,…help them, with all you can, don’t send your sons here, protest, try to know what the army is doing really here…try to know the truth, violence leads only to violence, and history will save all what is happening and you will be responsible of it in front of your grand children, and in front of God…do something, don’t let this happen under your names, don’t hold that responsibility.

Hey!
remember the "sensing dangour" thing?
well..for the first time in my life, i feel that living in baghdad is not safe, even during the war, i never had this feeling, i would go out even during bombing, but now, i dont feel safe at all, i avoid going out.
my phone is dead, so i dont have internet, and this just sucks, i use the neighbours' computer to check my mail, so i am alive, but just cant send lots of posts..ok?
the situation is bad, and getting worse.
pray for us :*(

no new things really..just the same..so i am not gonna blog today!
me*
Hey:)
we have a say : the silence that comes before the storm.
that is whets like here now.

yesterday I promised D, my American friend, to go visit him..And maybe go our together.
last night..I was thinking: what if someone tried to kidnap him while we were together?
oh my god!
the idea completely controlled me.
I would defend him with my life..I thought, and I would do whatever, say whatever, to prevent them from taking him.
but yet..What if?
I just couldn't handle the idea.
and decided not to go!
I also promised simona..My Italian peace activist activist friend to visit her, and didn't go there too.
in Baghdad..Things are still the same..Maybe worse...Clashes every now and then in deferent places.
near my house...Strange things happen!
let me draw this picture: my house is right on the street, and across the street there is a big empty peace of land...Yesterday..An American helicopter landed there! On the ground! Accompanied with few tanks and hum-vee vehicles.
the airport way is very close to me, so I can see/or hear the American destroyed/burned cars, more than one time aday.
today I went out, because of the general protest and the fact that everyone is home..I couldn't get though the dial-up connection and had to go out for an internet cafe, I went to Almansour neighbor, and it was a guest cities, over 90% of the shops are closed, and I went to four intenet cafes that were all closed, but the fifth, fortunately..Was opened.

people came from falluja (today), with a new story: they said "the mojahideen only destroyed the American vehicles and left, then a foreigner photographer came and offered some people who were standing there 200$ to burn the bodies and let him take the pictures..He told them that it will scare the Americans, and that people of falluja will look like heroes"

they seem to be sure! You never know what to believe! Iraq is really the land of rumors.
I'll get back to you as soon as something happen.

If you think the ass kicking you get from Israel is like the one you have coming
from the USA, you are in for a big suprise. Arabs have to learn the meaning of
Democracy. If we have to bust your head to make you understand, then so be it.
Good Luck and keep your head low.

a british lawyer, writter, and a peace activist, she is my lovely friend jo wilding.
Today...a morter bomb fell only few meters away of me:)
i was at BBC house..and the morter fell on the Sheraton, or the Ilwiyya club..i am not sure.
it was reaally loud...like the days of the war.
the funny thing is that when i heared it my reaction was : waww..cool!
and i ran towards the nearest please wher i can see what happened.
isnt it amazing to live in iraq?
me*
OH MY GOD!!
you all should have been there today!!
in the big mosque that was called "om ilma'arik" which mean mother of all battles...and now its called "om ilkora" which is Mecca..ya..the same Mecca you know.
it was a united prayer between suna and shea...thousands??tenths of thousands?
i dotn really know..i know that i lost my brother few times in the crowed and found him by calling him on his mobile.
it was really hot under the sun out there..but people were hanging on.
after the prayer..many people made speaches..a sunni important personality followed by a she'ee important personality and so on..for hours...and while they were talking...it was damn silence...we all were outdoors..in avery big field..but you couldnt hear a whisper...everyone was litsinning really carefully to whoever was giving the speach.
the media was there..i have seen few photographers and reporters...i hope you'll see the pictures.
ofcource majid..my younger bro. didnt forget his camera..his both cameras actually..and he took billions of pictures..and filmed all what could film.....after the prayer and speaches...medicine and aid started to come from everywhere...to go to falluja...you could see big bags filled with money..and boxes of midicine.....the sheikh said during the prayer that many families are homeless now in falluja..women and childern are in the south of falluja hiding under treeas..homeless...and he asked us to go and host them in our houses till things get better.
as soon as the prayer was over..buses and cars moved towards falluja to pick up these families.
sunna and shea both were saying "from falluja to kufa..we will protect this country" wwooowWWWOooWWOwwwoOOW!!!
people came from falluja among the cowds and started telling people what shappenning really in falluga.
they are out of water..electricity is cut..and there is a great shortage in midicine,,,he said that the americans are punishing the whole city by not letting aids, water and electricity get to them.
they say that people are giving fuel from their cars to fill ambulence cars..to evacuate killed and injured people.
falluja turned to be a symbol of risistance and strength that is inspiring othere cities.
i'll keep telling you whats happenning.

People are making jokes about how americans won't handle control to Iraqis...cause they dont have it at the first place:)
seems that media is trying to give the impresion that fights are hapenning only in falluja and in sadir city..that is not true.

Sadir city is a big neborhood in baghdad..includes over 1 million person...all of them are shea..a pure shea aria.
it used to be called althawra city during saddam time..althwra means the revolution..referring to the revolution that saddam made when he took over and got in power at 1968...the revelution of the "arab baath socielst part"..i havent heared this name for a while :))
clashes are happenning in many other places in baghdad...and in most if not all the other governorates-excluding the north.

streets today are empty-mom says, since i havent left home today,,,i woke up late, abouy 12, i am sad..my personel problems and the general situation are controlling my mind.

I remembered a comment that my very lovely american friend, conie, said when she saw in the news once lots of people protesting against USA "OH GOD..WE ARE SO DEAD".
today...i remembered her comment.
what is happenning is something i, personally, never thought will happen soon, the country is revoluting.
i am not gonna mention any numbers..you just check the news.
one event that dragged my attention...the american soldiers who hided in a mosque in Sadir city for the whole night..seeking protection.
the imam (sheikh) of mosque...refused to turn them on to people waiting outside..he told them that "they seeked protection..and our islamic morals prevents us from hurting them..as long as they are inside..they are under my protection..if they were outside..i would have killed them with you" the morning prayed wasnt held in this mosque today.

this insident reminded me of what happened yesterdya in falluja....40 men were killed when the american army
destroyed a mosque..cause some"emenies" were hiding inside the moaque.

today's quiz:
whats happenning ni iraq now will:
1. only cause kills in both sides.
2. push the americans to re-think their policy..and consider giving iraqi their demands.

Hi again!
four posts in two day..i cant believe it myself.
i'll tell you a story...today..few hours ago...i came back home...as soon as i steppd of the taxi right infron of my door..
i found myself surrounded with ...two tanks and a hum-vee ...M-16s with lazer pointers...and the electricity was off..you should emagine how was the situation.
i was already off the car...i stopped and kept watching what they are gonna do..
one soldier came towards me..and sked me "did you just come from there? why where your lights of?were you parking there a moment ago?"
i wasnt sure whats the right answer:)
i said "no! we just came here"
"was your lights off?"
"no,,,it was on!"
"was it of?"
"noo,,,it was on"
"did you see a car that its light are of?"
what the hell?
is this a comedy show?
i said" no!"
"do you have an ID?"
i show him my idea.
"jordanian? what are you doing here?"
he actually asked that question...what am I doing here??
can you see the irony?
an american soldier..her in iraq..infront of my door..asked me "what are you doing in iraq?"
what the hell?
hen they just left..and we lived happily ever after.
ohh..he did apologize for the inconvenience.

Its one of the skills you get by livign in iraq: sencing danger
yesterday..we just senced that its not safe to go to school..we didnt go...today...i went.and found that everyone senced the same thnig..and nobody went to uni yesterday..nor today..and it turned out that the university gave us a vication..starting yesterday and till next monday.
thats the answer for your question : how is the situation in the city.
last night..a tank was standing only few meters away form my house..shooting towars the neighbor...as a reply for the two RPG rockets that burned the hum-vee and killed the four soldiers moments before.
12 american soldiers..were killed..in ONE operation in ramadi.
news subtitles are like that : (*) were killed and (*) were injured in clashes between the coalition and Sadir people in the city of (*)..this line is repeated all day long..every few moments..only with defferent values for the (*) .
mom has an english litsen..i couldn let her go alone..i insisted on going with her.
our relatives who live outside iraq...contact us daily to check on us.
the city is expecting worse times in the coming few days.
pray for us!

I knew her through mail...she reads my blog.
i loved her name... L. , and i felt that i knew her for a long time.
she is only 16...american..arabic originally but she doesnt speak arabic..and she lives in the states.
just a reguler american teenager...but i really had that feeling...that she is my young sister.
i told her that! she smiled...and sai that its an honour to her.
she is reaally smart....after few mails..when i asked the question that i always ask at some point "so..tell me about yourself"
the answer was a hmmm..15 kb email...filled with accomplishments...really impressive..a real impressive CV ..i would hire her..for anything...she would argue with you about anything...starting with phelpsophy to the steps of a nice dance...she knows just everything! she is kind of girls that we see in movies..when a kid asks a man several smart questions that he cant really answer..the man would feel embaressed and say "ok kiddo..its bed time".
she is just lovely!
i havent talked to her..or saw her picture..but when i sign in to my messenger and find her online..we talk alot..and i enjoy it.
yesterday..i was online and she signed in...
"hi!"
"hey!" she answered..
"got a secret?" my favourite question just poped up.
"well...what kind of secrets?"she asked..
"hmm..a secret that you wouldnt tell me if you knew me!..but i mean..what the hell? i am 10 000 miles away!" i said .
she paused for a while.
then she said : i lost my verginity last saturday.
.......
.......
.......
i paused for a while.
i felt reaallly bad!....reaally!
and a million thought just jammed in my head.
i was thinking : what can you possibly tell a 16 years old girl living in the states to show her that its wrong?
wait wait wait...you..yes you..the one who is about to write me an email saying "whats right and wrong? you are using your standerds to judge us..whats wrong for you, could be right for us..can you deny that?"
well..let me tell you something : just dont send that mail.
and you...the other guy..who already wrote a mail saying "you are judging us...you dont have the right to..we are just defferent..and we take our own choices" know what? just dont send it.
L. is a victum of a society that lives his rules...a society that goes well with the idea of madona and britny kissing on the stage..a society that accepts the marriage between homesexual..in that society..everything seems to be alowed..and available..under the name of freedom...have you watched some video clips lately? its pornology..have you seen what teenagers do? drugs, sex and songs...is a society with the highest persontage of devorse.highest persintage of single mothers..highest persintage of rape .
i see another guy out there saying "well..crap...after all...we are greatest nation..the greatest economy..the greatest technology..and we have values too..we are the nation of values"
know what? you are right!
i believe that too...there are a good persintage of scientists..most of people have values..but:
as a result...the mixture of all this is..really terrible.
L. have been brought up in a society that doesnt give much care about god...and where everything seems to be allowed.
freedom? how nice!
L. is a victum..your sons and daughters are victoms...you are putting them in a society that is ruled by low,,and low unfortuanitally...have no morals.
everyone of your daughters could be L. ,,its not only about what she did..its about..she have no reason to think its wrong.
marriage rates are going down..why the hell people need to get married? they can have it all without any commetment..isnt that just fun?
i told her "whoever is it the guy who did this...he doesnt love you enough to wait for you...he doesnt respect yuo enough too..would he let his sister sleep with anyone? well..no..if he is normal..cause he really cares about her..and knows that its wrong..but he did it to you...he doesnt love you enough..or respect you enough..no matter how nice he is"
i said: "L. ..what you gave is priceless..completely priceless..and onlt the man who is responsible enough..who loves you enough to make the commetment...deserves it."
she said "well..he is my boyfriend...isnt that better than doing it with just ay guy..in the college?"
i was about to kill myself at that point.
America,,talk to me...tell me that i am wrong...tell me that its not bad in your country.
please..tel me!

Its really "funny" what happenning in iraq!
Sadir people are taking over..they are actually re-ocupying the country.
where else can that happen?!
and i am gonna tell you something..do you know that Sadir is about 23 yrs or something?
another fact: do you know that he has no importance as a person for shee'aa at all?
its only that his father was an important leader of shee'aa.
and you knwo what else?
this guy actually "controls" few MILLIONS of people!!
did you see them on the news?? they actually took over the governorate building in Basra..and made problems all over iraq.
next saturday..
is a very important she'ee day..usually..the city gets in realll mess...but this year..and in this situation.
i DONT wana be in iraq.
